Selig Harrison on N.K. nukes

As you could probably guess, I’m no fan of Selig Harrison, and his latest op-ed in the WaPo is a perfect example why. He follows it up with on online discussion with WaPo readers that, well… read it and take from it what you will.

    The Marmot has little love for Selig Harrison, but there is some useful information in his op-ed and chat transcript (where the questioners displayed more intelligence than the expert). Mostly, I question his timing. Right when Pyongyang uses its NYC…

    Harrison reminds me of Chomsky — he selects facts either from only one side, or appears to make them up. Too bad people will simply read what he says, see that he is considered to be an ‘expert,’ and take what he says at face value. In nearly every response he made, I saw that it was either and incomplete answer (leaving out the negatives of the DPRK), or came to the wrong conclusion based on what ‘we’ actually know. Sigh…
