Hello? Were you born in America? You?€™re an American. End of story. Born in China? You?€™re Chinese. Don?€™t gimme this ?€œoh, but you can?€™t BE *Chinese* because you aren?€™t in the culture!?€? crap. It?€™s all an attempt to dress up this concept of ?€œrace?€? that us HUMANS on this PLANET EARTH have yet to come to grips with. It?€™s like watching little kids argue for hours on the semantics of what ?€œcooties?€? are. I mean, gimme a break.

Most of us have tried that before, but the first time we are harassed on the street, hassled by cops, or treated differently by instructors at school, we are quickly reminded that we are not only American, but American of the WRONG color.

Otherwise, I agree with you–there is nothing biological/genetic about culture, but there is something external about how society treats you on the basis of your physical appearance.

As for the discussion at hand, I think humans will mate with humans. It’s what we do best. If one human happens to have some physical differences from another human that makes them more attractive, then so be it. This absolute pretentious hogwash earlier about “the halo effect” attempts to explain away why an woman who has asian features will be attractive to a man who has caucasian features, and vice versa.

As for the concept of the “asiaphile” who stalks asian women, and is some sort of “loser” (whatever THAT means) and who can’t get any other woman to like him except for an asian woman (because the asian woman is not in control of herself, rather she is helplessly drawn into the Matrix Of Whitey! - there is a word for people like this, they are called Mentally Retarded - certainly not what you were aiming for in your laughable dissertation, is it?) I have to call bullshit on that too. HUMANS fetishize about all sorts of things. Some fixate upon a single point. Not all of these “asiaphiles” are stalkers, and most certainly not all stalkers who prey upon asian women are asiaphiles.

Oh, and the comment to Shakuhachi about “jack off to your hentai” - I guess no Korean men do that, since porn from Japan sells just as well in Korea as it does anywhere else in the world…. Or, do only asiaphiles jack off to Japanese porn…? So what does that insinuate about the Chinese and Korean men I see buying this stuff? Or maybe it insinuates this nonsense about “asiaphiles” to be just that - NONSENSE.
