The Taeguk tied upside-down to the Jeep represents the obliviousness of student protesters in Korea.

Still no mention here of SNU’s most recent breakthrough in embryotic stem cell research? Wuzzup wit dat sheeit?

Time Magazine’s Inside the cloning lab is a good intro. Ars Technia tells us that Hwang’s technique does not use newly created human life. With the US embroiled (as usual) in a moral debate, the White House drags its heels. Meanwhile it looks like the Blue House is ready to give full support to local researchers.

Highly recommend Wikipedia for a stem cell primer. The International Society for Stem Cell Research has an excellent science-heavy look at the specifics of Hwang’s most recent breakthrough.
