Well, this is eye-pleasing. The car, that is.

Marmot’s old enough to have his priorities straight: post a racing girl now and then, because life is short ;)

Racing girls, that is unhealthy Japanese influence!
You should instead introduce the healthy-minded beauties drawn by people’s artists, ?¡°????™” ??¸??¼?™”/??¸??¸???”available at NKmall.

Mark, that’s actually the most horsepower any production Mustang with a V6 has had. Note that I say V6 and not V8… that’s a different story.

I assume that the cost is inflated due to the import taxes, but jeeze louise, that’s getting close to twice the price of the car back in the states. I think I’d hold out for the V8 or for that money, go buy something else.

As for the girls…..I’d hit it!…Two Times!

Jing, those other pictures are clearly of a traditional Korean style wedding…..the red dots are painted on the bride’s cheeks and are meant to be ‘evil repelling’ on the special day. Have you never seen a traditional Korean wedding? I don’t know why it’s a bunch of older people…must be an renewal of vows kinda thing.

  12. Posted April 20, 2005 at 12:17 am | Permalink

Nope, I can say I have ever seen a traditional Korean wedding. Let alone one consisting of dozens of old people. I vaguely thought it could have been something similar (Reverend Moon reference) except in bulk.

As for ??…?????” ??°??? ??? from Japan. I don’t know why your comment was deleted but earlier today blogger was being a complete pain in the rear. The comments section was down for quite some time and then immediately following that, flickr decided to die and take all my images with it. Everything is back to normal now, but if you left a comment sometime when the last day or so, the blogging gods must have ate it. Rest assured, I don’t delete comments on purpose, even trolls. I must have pissed off more people than I realized, cause I’ve gotten two people to troll my blog in the 2 days its been up.

Sorry to check in so late, but judging by the photos, perhaps that’s alright after all.

To those who say that racing girls are not beautiful: these are not the best - not by far. Try the Marmot’s links, or else http://www.missdica.com, for some finer examples.

Antti: ‘healthy-minded beauties drawn by people?€™s artists’ - um, what? You know, given the Dear Leader’s interest in female bodyguards and large-scale gymnastics demonstrations, I’d say that he might enjoy a little cosplay. Is that what you meant by being ‘healthy-minded’?

What’s the point of these cars in traffic congested Korea? The fatest they can do on any highways will be 5 mph, especially now that the summer is around the corner.

Maybe I’ve been raised by femenists but I like that theres a guy in the photo — It kind of balances things.

And I agree: that racing girl is not good looking. I never can figure out why Korean women are so hot but Korean model’s are so ugly…

While everyone is fixated on the racing girls, could someone who understands Korean please explain the upperleft photo in the series with the old men and women in traditional clothing? Clicking on it reveals a further of series who shows a whole bevy of adjummas with funny hats and red dots on their cheeks. Is it an old people’s beauty contest? A Moon-style mass wedding? The last hurrah before they are turned into Soylent green? Inquiring minds want to know!

What car? What Mustang? Where’s the eye-pleasing car?

BTW, there’s a beautiful 2005 Mustang on display in front of the Osan BX…yes, right here in Korea. Of course I wouldn’t consider buying it here and subjecting it to 6′ wide parking spots and the endless door dings. My current car has suffered greatly.

But seriously, Dear Leader is ordering pizza tonight and would like to know what goes well with anchovies on people’s revolutionary songun pizza, besides “special meat”. We do not have “special meat” on songun pizza because there is absolutely no cannibalism in the DPRK.
Now, when I say there is absolutely no cannibalism in the DPRK, I do of course mean there is a certain amount…

kcbill06, there are several factors which are going to inflate the price of Ford products in Korea. One of the major reasons, for the Ford Mustang in particular, is the displacement. Cars over 2000cc are subject to 10% Special Excise Tax, 10% VAT, 30% of Special Excise Tax Education Tax (e.g. 3% of the value after calculating the cost including SET), 5% Registration Tax, and 20% Subway Bond Tax. Add to this the fact that you are importing in limited numbers, increasing shipping costs, and other problems associated with a limited presence in Korea. In addition, the people importing goods into Korea don’t immediately adjust their prices based on shifts in the exchange rates. Most companies are probably still banking on a 1200won-$1 return by the time they actually get the profits out of Korea and back to the U.S. Hopefully, people will realize that the new exchange rate is stable and I can start taking advantage of my psychological pay raise to purchase cheaper U.S. goods (Like that ridiculously expenisve Apple Cinema Display!)

Fortunately the used car market in Korea is pretty good, it seems there’s a stigma concerning purchasing used vehicle. You can get a pretty new Lexus IS200 with low mileage for 22-26,000,000.
