Operation Moolah: MUST READ POST

The Kimchee GI has an terrific post on U.S. attempts during the Korean War to get its hands on the superb MiG-15 fighter and the amazing story of one North Korean MiG-15 pilot who crossed over with his bird. Definitely worth reading, as is SGM (Ret) Herbert A. Friedman’s Psywarrior Website, from which much of the Kimchee GI’s post derives.

    One of my older Korean students told me this guy came and spoke at his University years ago. Unless there are two guys that defected by flying an airplane to South Korea. It’s an amazing story.

    This guy is on History Channel’s F-86 vs. MiG-15 episode. Great guy, great story. They also had a few of the Russkie pilots that had been stationed in Manchuria.
