I met him once, in one of his stores, more than a decade ago. Way weird creepy, for sure. We shook hands, his were bizzarely puffy and soft, like sponge covered in thin suede… I never forgot it.
I really did like the style of his women’s clothing back then, tho — would have bought something for my wife if i could’ve afforded it. I admired him for being the first (or least a very early one) to incorporate traditional Korean motifs and designs into modern high-fashion clothing, giving Korea some “face” on that aspect of the global scene, long long before the current “wave”….
