Rev. Kim Hong-do of Seoul’s Kumnan Methodist Church, the largest Methodist church in Korea, has earned well-deserved condemnation for a sermon he gave on Jan. 2 in which he said that the victims of Dec. 26’s earthquake and tsunamis that devastated much of South Asia were killed because they didn’t believe in Jesus.
In his sermon, the good minister said:
I got a call from a certain PhD. According to him, about 100,00 people have been killed in Southeast Asia because of the tsunamis and earthquakes, but it could reach as high as 200,000 or 300,000. He said that was no accident. Why? It was the judgment of God.
In Aceh, Indonesia, where 65,000 people were killed, two thirds of the people are Muslim, and many Christians have been killed by rebels. Massacred. In Chennai, India, where 30,000~40,000 were killed, Hindus had gone on the rampage, killing many Christians and burning chapels.
Phuket, Thailand is a place used by many Europeans to engage in hedonism, lechery, drugs and commit sins. Think about it. You’re most joyous holiday is Christmas, and you consider the Sabbath important. You believe in Jesus, so would you skip church and go to such a place to engage in lechery and debauchery ?
Many Europeans died in Phuket, but not one truly believed in Jesus. God would specially save them. If you believe, say Amen (Amen). If you truly believe in Jesus, would you spend Christmas and the Sabbath playing around in such a place?
So, when you keep the Sabbath, I believe God will block disasters and accidents (Amen). Yet we cannot say those people made mistakes. What’s more, we mustn’t think that it was good that they were struck by a disaster. We must take pity on them and help them.
Sickening. The Hankyoreh version quotes him as including Sri Lanka on the list of those less favored by God for a) being Buddhists, and b) Christians have been killed by rebels in the country.
Korea, too, might be on the receiving end of some fire and brimstone if it’s not careful, because according to Kim, the godless commies are taking over the joint:
Our country now faces the greatest crisis since the foundation of the nation. In particular, it’s on the verge of communization… People who, if these were the old days, would get the death penalty or life imprisonment have moved into the National Assembly in great numbers, where they are trying to repeal the National Security Law and communize this nation.
President Roh’s obviously got the gulags in the works:
Our country is on the verge of falling into the hands of Satan… If we are communized, we’ll become a beggar nation like North Korea where millions starve to death a year, and because of their ideology of materialism and atheism, the churches would all be destroyed, and Christians would be killed or put in prison, or suffer torture worse than death in forced labor camps.
Of course, Rev. Kim might be still a little pissed off about getting a three-year suspended sentence (along with W7.5 million in fines) last year for misappropriating church funds for personal expenses.

I bet the Muslims clerics who say that the earthquake happened because of Christianity outnumber the Christian preachers who say it happened because of non-Christian religions. In fact, given the highly radical nature of Islam in countries like Saudi Arabia, we can be certain that the ?橫it was Christianity??s fault?? theory will be the one that will be the one that sticks in the minds of a vast swath of humanity, long after we finish ridiculing this crazy Korean Methodist and other misguided fringe commentators.

Guys, you dont know who you are fucking with. Islam infection is not easy to crash. It will only get stronger if you keep cursing it. Just like all religions its an infection created by weed addict profiting profits, but a pretty stronger one, it stands over basic instincts of human consciousness. First its necessary to accept that infections are not only biologically exist but also in a spectrum of ideas. In order to defeat an infection there is only one way, logic, they dont like it. If you try to use another infection against it, you will be infected in opposite direction only.
I live in a muslim country, read carefully these experiences, how much clever ever you can be, experience matters, you wont be able to imagine the infection this much.
