Asian blog awards

Simon is taking over this year’s Asia Blog Awards from Phil of Flying Chair — nominations close on Friday, and voting runs from Dec. 15 to Dec. 31. This contest is a great way to learn about some of the other English-language blogs in this little neighborhood of the globe, even if the English-language requirement does mean an over-representation of expats, unfortunately (not that there is anything wrong with expats, of course). Anyway, you are all highly encourage to participate and spread word around — Simon has been doing a bang-up job with his Asia by Blog roundups, and there is no doubt he’ll do as great a job with this year’s contest as Phil did last year.

Meanwhile, if I might be allowed a bit of self-promotion here, I’ve been nominated for Best Asia Blog over at Wizbang’s 2004 Weblog Awards.

Hm, I’m not an expat, but I write about Japan. Do I still count as an Asia Blogger?
