You may recall back in February the Chosun Ilbo ran that piece on the “Clash of the Keisters,” in which actress Jun Ji-hyun beat out singer Lee Hyo-ri for “Best Butt in Korea.” You might also recall said Korean daily ran another piece recently on the shitstorm Oprah Winfrey ignited with her little segment on plastic surgery in Korea. Well, perhaps to prove that these two great tastes could go great together, or simply to demonstrate the Buddhist concept that there is no such thing as independent existence in this world (sorry, I had to translate that for a piece today), the Chosun brings you this stellar piece of journalism:
Women Flock to Plastic Surgeons in Search of Jun Ji-hyun’s and Lee Hyo-lee’s Butt

The plastic surgery boom has finally hit bottom. Literally. In the midst of the “Best Body” craze, more and more women who want to have healthy and smooth bodylines are getting cosmetic work done on their derrieres.
In particular, more and more women who ardently desire springy bottoms are going to the plastic surgeon’s equipped with photos of Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Hyo-lee.
Kim Mun-jeong, the director of the Myeong-dong branch of the Gowoon Sesang Beauty Clinic, hinted, “Among our patients, we get a lot of people how want behinds like Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Hyo-lee. They bring photos of these entertainers in jeans and present them as models.”

listen, i’m all for korean chicks improving their butts. and i happen to dig hyo li, but really there’s very little butt to speak of. she does what she can by posing in positions that make her appear that she has something back there, but basically she’s got ass-deficit disorder - it’s all an illusion. jeon ji hyun’s ass is just wide and flat. and again, she’s free to show it to me anytime she’d like, but i wouldn’t recommend my wife (who’s korean and apparently a genectic freak who has a semblence of an ass) getting surgery based and this model. there are literally millions of other asses that would prove better standards to follow. korea is in need of ass experts and i’m offering my services.

Make that “China has the ugliest and the worst polluted cities”. I’ve been to China. They have stinky stalls without walls and a hole in the ground masquerading as toilets. People don’t wash their hair full of dandruff and personal hygene like bathing and brushing teeth is non existent.
No wonder such deadly diseases like SARS, black plague, bird flu all started from there. If a Westerner complains about Seoul, then that’s understandable because the West is more advanced. i agree with jing’s assessment of the south korean economy. even though i
wrote korea is a first world country, it’s only gotten there recently and
