Reuters tells us:
Mushy South Korean Soaps Lapped Up Across Asia
The only thing is, I wish stuff like this got exported instead. Jang’s 1997 album is, in fact, one of only two music CDs I own (the other being Ahn Chi-hwan’s 4th album).

Did you mean one of 2 Korean music CDs you own, or do you really only own 2 music CDs, period?
It is good to see a non-Korean media outlet picking up the story. When the domestic press does it, they bring cheerleading to a new level.
This is not related, but please read!

Do not use your Certificate of Alien Registration number(Passport number, VISA) in Korea. And do not buy telecommunication services in Korea.
According to JoongAng Ilbo,
Kang Sung Jong, a National Assembly member of Uri Party, announced at the state affairs inspection that telecommunication companies illegally retained personal information (name, citizenship registration number, bank account number, etc) of twelve million people who had stopped registering their cell phone(s) with a telecommunication company. Telecommunication companies’ this kind of doing business is unlawful in Korea and in the most of the countries around the world.
Telecommunication companies & the number of the illegal retainment of personal information.
KTF: Five million, four hundred sixty thousand.
LG Telecom: Three million, five hundred sixty thousand.
SK Telecom: Two million, seven hundred seventy thousand.

Nomad — in fact, I own only 2 music CDs, period. And Jang Sa-ik is one of them.
“I own two CDs, and Jang Sa-ik is one of them.”
Amazing!
I was a bit short of words when trying to describe Jang’s singing, and couldn’t come up with any better than “sincere and inspired”. What’d you suggest, as an English speaker?
And thanks for the link!
