Well, this isn’t the sort of GI crime I’m used to seeing in the papers:
An American soldier accused of hitting a Korean man who refused to have sex with him was handed over yesterday to U.S. military police at Uijeongbu, just north of Seoul.
The 27-year-old specialist in the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division, identified only by his last name Robert, hit the Korean, also 27 and identified by his family name Suh, with a blunt instrument, Uijeongbu police said.
Police said the men ran into each other in a park near a U.S. camp in Uijeongbu and had drinks together before the incident. The American soldier was accused only with an act of violence as Suh withdrew his initial accusation of sexual harassment under a mutual agreement.
Is anyone else kind of curious as to what that mutual agreement was?

This cannot be possible. First, the US military has a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Secondly, there are not gays in Korea.
I think they were both gay and that they were having some sort of argument which led to this.

I bet you Hank is right most likely they were both homosexuals. I doubt a korean guy or a G.I would suddenly take up an offer to let someone stick it where the sun don’t shine. Most likely the deal was struck to protect the identities of both men. It’d be bad news to have your face on the page where it says “Foreign homosexual abuses regional homosexual with sex toy/member” (Look ma’ its me!)
What a shame. I bet the Korean guy was not gay but sucked in to it.
