Chuseok at Brian’s

If you’re you’re in Seoul this Chuseok and feeling bored, Brian of Cathartidae will be putting on an event at his cafe in Hongdae:

If you’ve lived in Korea for at least a year, then you probably know that Chuseok can be a really boring period for foreigners. Your friends are busy with their family obligations, traveling is no fun due to holiday traffic congestion, and most Korean businesses are closed down. One year, I was stuck in my apartment for three straight days with no money playing computer games and eating ramyun and tuna sandwiches. What’s a foreigner supposed to do?

Well, I’ll be at my cafe in Hongdae this Chuseok, and I’m thinking of planning some event for people like myself who are bored and have nothing to do. It wouldn’t be much… probably just ask my connection on base to hook me up with some western goodies to sell as snacks (and BYOB if you like) and sit around and chat. I might be able to talk some other bloggers into making a cameo appearance even. Who knows…

Leave a note if you might be interested in coming. If there is enough interest I’ll definately put something together.

For those interested, leave a note at Brian’s blog.
