BREAKING NEWS — Zarqawi arrested in Iraq?

YTN just reported that someone presumed to be Jordanian-born terrorist Mussab al-Zarqawi has been arrested in Iraq. al-Zarqawi is wanted for, among other things, his involvement in the beheading of Cana Trading employee Kim Sun-il last month.

UPDATE: Looks like bullshit — see comments.

UPDATE II: Instapundit says it might not be bullshit, but probably is.

If true, what is the Korean reaction going to be? Will they be publicly divided, like the US would be?

I see no other news agencies carrying it. not even google news. . .

I remember once argueing with a korean girl about korean news. . . just then on the tv beside us there was a report that bill gates had died. They ran through file footage of people going crazy at the stock market etc. . . then only five minutes later they came on to give a retraction. Someone had stumbled on to a fake/parody cnn website about bill gates dieing. . . one I had in fact seen a year earlier. Needless to say I won that argument.

“Reports about the arrest of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi have been denied by representatives of the US Commandment and Iraq’s Interior Ministry.

“The message about the arrest of al-Zarqawi comes from unreliable sources, Russian online edition Utro.Ru said, citing US Commandment and Iraq’s Interior Ministry.”

I doubt there would be any divided opinion. Anyone who kills a Korean will be resoundly hated by all. *cough* KIM JONG IL *cough*

*exceptions: Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung
