Gee, these politicians need to get senses of humor. Seems some bright staffer over at Cheong Wa Dae got the bright idea of moving some movie poster parody featuring a the face of former Grand National Party chairwoman Park Geun-hye attached to a half-naked woman on the front page of Cheong Wa Dae’s official bulletin board. Needless to say, Park was not impressed, and neither were her lady friends in the Grand National Party, 15 of whom denounced Cheong Wa Dae and called for — you guessed it — President Roh to apologize.
Of course, this isn’t the first time people have gotten in trouble for parodies — a college kid was arrested in March for violating election laws releasing a rather clever little parody picture on the Internet. The election committee doesn’t have much of a sense of humor, either, it would seem.
If you read Korean, really dislike President Roh and have a sense of humor, take a look at the Independent’s parody pics — they can be quite funny.

I think this is a terrible thing to do. Park could be the first woman president in Korea and this posting of this half nude really denegrates her- and its on the chong wae day official web sight!!!!! Imagin if the White house did this to some female senetor like Hillary Clinton. I understand the right of a private entity to do a parody but the house of the president doing it is just LOW.
I think one of Korea’s biggest structural problems is that clause in the constitution that gives “the right to live with honor.” Makes Korea really weak on freedom of speech, and really, really weak on humor.

I don’t think, that any woman could become a president of the ROK in the next, hum, 50 or so years.
Like so many female SE/ NE Asian politicians (Corazon Aquino, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Megawati Sukarnoputri,
Makiko Tanaka etc.), Park Geun-Hye is in my view only a parasite of her father’s political charisma.
She’s a dry centerfold for those fascistic senitmentalists longing for “the good old times”.

This is crap. Believe it or not political parties should work with each other. Any developed democracy (Korea) should like the west fight like heck to win an election but at the same time those who are you opponents are there for the greater good. Unless people are willing to stand and carry a message that may be unpopular all you will have is group think.
They should fire this person on the spot. The president may not apologize but he should show more leadership than few slaps on the wrist.
And it is demeaning to women.
