Japanese nude model? Hair? Hanbok? Korean historical sites? Say no more!

kaori_shimamuraHowever thought of this project must have one set of cajones:

A Japanese nude model is planning to pose for “hair nude” photographs at front of famous spots in Korea — including historical sites — wearing a hanbok (traditional Korean dress), after which the material will be published in Korea. This is expected to cause quite a stir.

Nude model Shimamura Kaori, who has published about 20 nude photo books in Japan, will shockingly reveal this nude project in a press conference at the Seoul Novotel Ambassador Hotel on Friday.

STC Entertainment (president: Pak Jun-yeong), which is producing this project, said Tuesday, “A while ago we signed a contract with Shimamura for a nude project. We plan to do the shooting and release the materials in Korea shortly.” It added, “This will be the first time a foreign nude model has shot “hair nudes” in Korea and had the material released locally.”

OK, as we’ll read later, the “hair nudes” won’t be released locally, but still, this is something. And some are a bit concerned about it:

Shimamura, who will enter the country Friday morning, will head to famous places in Korea, including the East Sea coastal areas, to begin shooting immediately after her press conference. Moreover, totally opposite from Korean actress Ham So-won, who posed for nude photographs wearing a traditional Japanese kimono, Shimamura will wear an outfit that resembles a hanbok.

Because of this, some in the Korean entertainment world are expressing concern. Given that the project features a Japanese nude model wearing a traditional Korean hanbok, and will include “strong” hair nudes with historic sites as background, they say it could provoke anti-Japanese feelings.

Interestingly enough — and as long time readers of this blog will no doubt recall — Korean actress Lee Ji-hyeon also raised some local ire when she posed for “hair nudes” at Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, much to the chagrin of the Cambodian Foreign Ministry, which issued official protests.

About this, STC said, “In the case of hair nudes, we will export them abroad because we cannot distribute them locally due of information and communications ethics laws.”

Shimamura’s nude galleries are scheduled for mobile and Internet service in mid-July.

Now, to bring you what GoodDay Sports cannot, I give you not one, but two Shimamura Kaori nude photo galleries (NOT WORK SAFE):

Gallery 2

And since we’re discussing hair nudes, hanboks and Korean historical spots, I bring you — as a special bonus — Kim Shin-ae’s absolutely stunning nude gallery.

Now that we are on the subject, “I only tried if a digital camera can substitute for a scanner, and the pictures just happened to belong to the so-called chunhwa (챈?????) genre.”
“Spring pictures” of Kim Hong-do and Sin Yun-bok, two famous late 18th century painters.

Great piece. The entire concept and use of the term “hair nudes” is so ridiculous and funny. When are Asians going to get over this absurd aversion to showing pubic hair. Especially in Japan, where it is fine to show a woman’s face covered in the work of 50 men, but with a pixilated pussy. Bring on those “strong” hair nudes, as it will be fun to see the reaction in Korea.

Shame she can’t pose in the JSA. The bridge of no return, the main meeting building, and the informal meeting building on the right (looking north) would all be excellent backgrounds.

I’m not sure why anyone thinks there is an aversion to showing pubic hair on female models in Japan.

For more than 10 years now, anyone can walk into any Japanese bookstore to get any of several weekly semi-news magazines with bonus shots of hair nudes right off the rack. In fact, it was a fad among these magazines for some time.

    It’s no big deal now.

    Luke,

ever heard of cultural conservatism or differences? You don’t understand the “logic” behind the “hair nudes”-matter. Look at the USA, the “greatest” or better to say the biggest hardcore porn industry in the world, where the revenues are higher than of the more “serious” Hollywood movie industry and the hippocratic contrast with the public outcry about Janet Jackson’s Nipplegate during the Super Bowl… let me laugh a little.

Violence is no problem on US TV channels, but please, no nipples and bare tits or the constant bleeping out of swear words!!! Puritans and Cunfucianists are made of the same wood, I guess.

    Sugar,

Laugh away at the Janet Jackson Nipplegate affair, as I laugh with you. I totally agree that it is ridiculous to show blatant violence on TV and worry about a nipple.

But take Korean porno films for example: What is the point behind allowing the sale of a tape with two people obviously having sex, but making sure they have their hands over the “private parts?”

I just think its a pretty strange line to draw.

    BS,

I didn’t know that Japan now had hair nudes in magazines, but I do know that the last time I stayed in a capsule hotel in Osaka, the movies all had pixilated privates.
