Merry Buddhamas!

Yesterday was Buddha’s Birthday. Ordinarily, I’d have preferred to head out of Seoul today, but I had to work (the news doesn’t stop to celebrate the birth of the Enlightened One) and all I was afforded was a quick stop at the remarkably crowed Jogye Temple with the wife after work. Anyway, a lot of the other bloggers have some really good posts and pics on the cultural events of the last few days, so I hope they wouldn’t mind if I linked to a couple of them:

The path of precepts
Wrong Answer
Liminality’s Lantern Gallery
Getting Ready for Buddha’s Birthday at Jogye Temple (Korean, but some really great photos)

Thanks, but it would have been nicer to have gotten out of Seoul. I’m just not down with Chogye-sa, even if it is kinda nice around 4:00 a.m.

    off-topic:

I’ve noticed the site-color-type-picture-change. From green-grey to blue-grey to now green-red, with the Arial-not-so-considerable-as-Verdana script type. Hope you’re not stoned or something like that… or have you been abducted by DPRK secret agents over the holiday?
