Ok, I will say what a few are thinking…
When this incident happened, looking at the eagerness and immediacy of the Kwangju resistance seizing armories…..
it seems to me that the whole hardcore resistance had North Korean backing.
I think the Kwangju Uprising was that strange contrast: an almost spontaneous revolt which was purely provoked, CULTIVATED AND FURTHERED FARTHER ALONG BY RACIST, CHOSUN-MENTALITY, IGNORANT KWANGUFARMER agitator workers.;
I think it was furthered and … actively organized/ringled by people in the direct pay of Pyongyang. The last stand in Kumnamno…well, reduced the number of sleeper agents, anyways.
After reading everything about it I could….my opinion is… Kwangju sleeper agents went further than Pyongyang bosses expected them to.
Counter-Intelligence is so hard.
So, they deserved it, those hundred thousands of commie-agitated Kwangju racists, who dared to raise up against the brutal crackdown by the Chun junta and armed themselves, to be gunned down and bayonetted by ROK martial law forces? Those little high-school kids and innocent citizens, who had been at the wrong time in the wrong place. Just like the “pregnant, racist, commie-sympathetic Kwangju” woman, that one ROK paratrooper stabbed with his bayonet in the stomach. Your compassionate humanity shakes me deeply, Zdunk!
whose fault is it that those people kept down as ignorant poor farmers?
Park Jung Hee’s fault.
This man deliberately built most of South Korea’s modern industries in Kyong Sang Do. Not because it was a good location, nor the best location. The simple reason was that he was from Kyong Sang Book Do.

Happy Buddha’s birthday for everyone.
I read the chosun pretty much daily. Because I’m a conservative. I agree with most of their editorials. But I have to laugh when chosun’s Kyong Sang Do readers get really upset about KBS acting as the liberal administration’s propaganda toy.
Kyong Sang political leaders did this at least since Park Jung Hee. That went up to Chun Doo Hwan, Roh Tae Woo, Kim Yong Sam, Kim Dae Jung, and now Roh Moo Hyun.
True, KDJ isn’t part of the Kyong Sang family. That’s when Kyong Sang people started to get upset at KBS. And RMH is an odd ball liberal.
Hilarious, isn’t it?
Now, Han Nara is trying to pass a law to cut KBS’s ties with the administration. How silly. They didn’t care when KBS was Kyong Sang Do’s propaganda bazooka.
They’re selfish people, Kyong Sang people. They think they own South Korea. This will pose a problem when Korea becomes one. No other region will put up with it. I’m from Choong Chung Do.
TV news in South Korea has always been doctored, especially from KBS. Sign of a growing democracy.

Antti??????, my response to Zdunk was apparently also sarcastic. While typing my comment above, I remembered, that Zdunk had not a very good time in Kwangju and complained about the racism and xenophobia of the citizens there, so I thought, that he meant it only half-sarcastic and half-frankly, but I’m not sure.
Oops, the comment above is from me.
