The Chosun Ilbo is citing a Munhwa Ilbo report claiming that about 100 North Korean refugees being detained in a repatriation camp in China’a Jilin Province have gone on hunger strike. They oppose their forced return to the Workers Paradise and are demanding passage to South Korea. Seven of the refugees have apparently been on hunger strike for more than 20 days and are in poor shape.
