How ’bouts Chunsamo?

In the political climate following Roh’s impeachment, a cafe site at the portal site Daum.net called the “People Who Love Former President Chun Doo-hwan” (Korean acronym: Chunsamo) is causing controversy among Korean Internet users.
The site, which opened in winter of last year, has drawn no more the 670 members up till now, but recently, a number of other sites have spread word of the pro-Chun site’s existence, with Internet users directing harsh criticism toward the site’s administrator and calling for the site’s closure.
The cafe was opened with idea that, “In this time of chaos, it would great if some one like former President Chun Doo-hwan came forth and set this country straight.” The site has sections for information on former presidents and the achievements of former President Chun.
The Korean-literate can read the rest on their own.

Hilarious. Remember in the Hitchhiker books, Ford Prefect came from a planet where there was no sarcasm. Maybe he came from Korea.
I s’pose in a few days there’ll be a few anti-Chunsano sites. Bring on that Flash Animation!
Chun was a true scumbag. If there is anyone in Korea who should be in jail, it is him. Some of the stories I heard about Korean life under Chun made my hair stand on end.
Korea’s economic output more than doubled between 1979 and 1988.
