Uri Party embarrassed by North Korea

The Korea Herald reports that the Uri Party isn’t particularly happy about North Korea’s attack on Roh’s impeachment:

The Uri Party has been quick to quote foreign news agencies to bolster its case against the impeachment, which it has called unjustified. But Uri members seem embarrassed to have gained Pyongyang’s support, however unsolicited, mindful that the right-wing opposition Grand National Party has often seized on North Korea’s comments to brand Uri a pro-North Korean, left-wing party.

Party spokeswoman Park Young-sun responded cautiously to the comments yesterday, saying her party did not want to make an issue of them.

“And I believe the GNP will not take issue with that and attack us in a changed era,” she said.

    An endorsement from North Korea is somewhere between a wet kiss from a leper and ….. an endorsement from Al Gore.
