Big Time Symposium on North Korea

Da Chosun was able to get some of the finest minds on North Korea together for a symposium in New York. We’re talking the likes of Nicholas Eberstadt, Leon Sigal, Victor “Hoya” Cha, Marcus Noland, Moon Chung-in (who told me to shut up once), and others — there’s enough brain power there to light up the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang. For the Korean-literate, you are highly encouraged to take a look at the Chosun’s special page for the event. The English edition of the Chosun has a piece on the symposium, too, although it doesn’t give you nearly the same coverage. I’ll try to translate some of the fun stuff for you as the time presents itself.

There is a story there you didn’t finish. Please elaborate as to why you were told so politely to “shut up?”

I think many people have told the Marmot to shut up.
