two of bush's closest advisers just put out a book in which they envison a world dominated by a us willing to use any means neccesary to bring such a horror about. 

that don't sound so wholsome to me, lil man. and yes, it's a global sickness.

Also, the phenomenon is not limited to East Asia: Hindu Nationalists have the Indian parliament (and count Vajpayee among them), the Australian Liberal Party under Howard is as ant-foreigner as the Aussies have been since the 70s, and France and Germany collectively want to dominate Europe and blame Americans for all that is wrong in the world. America also seemed to be heading towards nationalist fervor in the wake of 9/11; fortunately this appears to have been merely wholesome patriotism mixed with shock news clips.
