Oranckay has the official translation of the KCNA statement everyone’s been talking about. Don’t get too excited about it, however. As the Oranckay points out:
You can see why it caused so much confusion. After reading it in Korean and English both, I’m still not sure what it’s trying to say.
Pitty the people who translate this stuff.
Also on an Oranckay note, MF over at Seeing Eye Blog rips the Hankyoreh a new one, taking full advantage of the paper’s new English editorial service provided by — that’s right — the Oranckay. BTW, I suspect that this is going to be a regular feature over at SEB.
