The Japan-based Chosun Shinbo reports that Pyongyang residents are doubling their preparations against the United States in the wake of Saddam Hussein’s capture in Iraq, according to this Korean-language report in YTN. Said the Chosun Shinbo, “The Iraq Incident is providing many lessons to the citizens of Pyongyang,” and “One mustn’t yield even one inch to the Americans, and the only way to confront the American pressure offensive is by possessing a strong war deterrent.”
The Chosun Shinbo is an organ of the pro-Pyongyang General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.
