The Marmot’s Hole

Kirk of It Makes a Difference to the Sheep has a pretty good post up on some of history’s less successful occupations, and perhaps some lessons we can learn from them as we adjust our policies in Iraq. Given the way in which news goes around these days, I’m not sure if it’s even possible for the US to commit some of the more grievous errors of occupations past, but if you fail to study your precedents, you’re asking for trouble.
