We got him

I know that there’s still a long road ahead in Iraq - a country with its history doesn’t get back on its feet overnight - and I’m definitely not in a gloating mood, but a good day is a good day, and congratulations go out to both the men who were involved in Hussein’s capture and, most of all, the people of Iraq.

Here’s to a better tomorrow in the Middle East.

I don’t know if I’ve seen this on your blog, but I did catch it on Korea Media Forum a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t start reading it in much depth until the great news today. I also worried that it could be people jerking people off by posting fakes, but these blogs seem very legitimate.

The link below is to an Iraqi blog and if you follow the links to it and the links to the ones it links to —- you’ll find a small community of English language blogs coming out of Iraq and by Iraqis about what is going on there. It is also very interesting to see the comments (tons of them) by others —- many from the US and many from elsewhere as well —- but almost all from Western nations or from the other Iraqi bloggers.

Again, I don’t remember if I saw this or the other Iraqi blogs posted here before, but it deserves a reminder anyway.

Very interesting reading all the way around, and the core of the blogs seem to be updated daily or frequently….

Most of all, congratulations and thanks to the US soldiers who got him.
