For those who read Korean, be sure to check out this piece in OhMyNews (entitled “USFK gives up its role as “tripwire”) which discusses the planned changes in both the structure and role of American forces in South Korea, along with the ramifications of those changes. It’s a great piece, and I’m about half-way done translating it for those who can’t read Korean - should be posted this evening. However, those with the skills can take a look at it beforehand in its original language.
