Taepodong test site restored - Kyodo

Japan’s Kyodo News is reporting that the North Koreans have completed reconstruction work on their medium-range Taepodong missile test site. Citing an unnamed American government source, the Kyodo report (which comes via the Dong-A Ilbo) claims that CIA and DIA satellites have determined that the North’s missile site, which was largely destroyed in an accidental explosion during an engine test last November, has been rebuilt and is capable of conducting a test at any time. According to the official cited, reconstruction work on the site (located in Hamkyeongbuk-do, for those who are interested) began in July and finished in mid-September.

Readers in Japan should probably keep their eyes open for meteor-like objects in the skies.
